Every product, pattern, or pick on this site goes through the same review process. We disclose what we paid, how long we tested, and what bias we tried to remove. If a step in this list does not match what you are reading, that is a bug — tell us and we will fix it or pull the post.

How we test

Step 1

We purchase every product at retail; no manufacturer samples or pay-to-play placements.
Step 2

Material callouts list silicone grade, plasticizers, and glycerin/paraben flags when labels allow.
Step 3

Noise is measured at 1 meter with a phone SPL app on consistent charge level.
Step 4

Subscription value uses 90-day reorder logs before we recommend or warn against auto-ship.
Step 5

Affiliate links are disclosed at top of money pages; we do not link to brands that sponsor coverage.
Step 6

Reader corrections are answered within 72 hours with dated addenda.
